Selected Question:
Do your J12 Cell Leaders ultimately close their Cells?
Answer:

Never relationally, because they will always be a mentor to those that they raised up underneath them. In practice however, we recognise as a principle in the Kingdom of God, the release of new leaders into that which God has called them. So a great honour for a leader in the J12 is to have all 12 that he has mentored to be released into their destiny. At this point the strong ties are severed in an effort to release new leadership potential. The J12 leaders see this as an integral part of our system, and inevitable if you are a good leader. Each time a new Z.S. is raised up part of the original J12 Cell is released from that leaders responsibility. Successful J12 leaders of this nature usually opt to start this process again, or are taken on board our full time staff.

There are leaders however who will never become full time ministers, their anointing and gifting is on mentoring 12 and are uncomfortable in being full time. We try and identify gifting and calling and keep the guys doing what they do best. In the real world we have seen with the exception of our senior Pastor, that none of us have kept strong relational ties with our original 12, circumstances change and mentoring roles change. On average we mostly have a bracket of 3 years time with the people that we are mentoring. We also release a lot of people into other churches, God has used us as a boot camp for South Africa.
