Firstly, we suggest that you attend a training seminar that explains exactly what you need to do to transition a Church. It is not a simple process. In fact it took us (LFCC) 5 years to transition. As our dear friend, Uncle Ralph Neighbour put it - it is easier to turn a speedboat quickly into a different direction, but a large ocean liner is going to take a while to turn. Likewise even with small Churches there are a number of factors that need to be taken into account. These include - size of Church, culture and openness to change, budgets, staff, amount of programs, all kinds of issues. Therefore it is not as simple as simply providing a plan. You are going to need help. The best type of help is having a coach or a mentor that can assist you with practical advice. Normally this would be someone who has already transitioned a Church. Secondly, there are a number of ACT seminars been operated around the world. ACT stands for ADVANCED CELL TRAINING. These detailed seminars explain fully the dynamics of a Cell Church and how to transition into one. Dont risk attempting transition unless you have attended one of these training seminars. Depending on where you stay the best advice that we can give you, is for you to contact a strong Cell Church in your area for advice. You will not find out what you really need by reading books etc. You need personal hands on help.
You might argue that you are a small Church why do you need to go that amount of effort? If you want to transition correctly and you want to have a healthy Cell Church, then there are no short cuts.
In the ACT there is a detailed plan available. I have resisted the temptation to include that in this reply. Why? You are going to cause calamity in your Church by merely working according to a plan and not going through proper training.
